Getting involved in shifting your energy is a powerful way to support your healing. Scribbling is an incredibly simple but effective technique for clearing emotions and blocks that leave you feeling stuck or burdened. Scribbling is as simple as it sounds, but often the most effective techniques are quite simple. Sometimes we have trapped emotions we can identify and other times they are a feeling you can't quite put your finger on but you know you feel "off." Regardless of whether you can name the emotion, scribbling is a simple technique to literally move energy from your body.
When you scribble, imagine the feeling, block or emotion as a particular color (like gray or red) in your body and imagine gathering it all up and dragging it through your arm, out your hand and through to a marker or crayon. Once you can picture this emotion moving through your hand out into your pen, scribble away. Scribble for 2-3 minutes or until you start to see your hand create a horizontal oval or "O" shape which signifies what you've scribbled has cleared. I like to use a chunky marker because I like the feel. If you don't have anything to scribble with you can scribble in the air with your finger.
When you are done scribbling, throw away the paper as a sort of cathartic energy clear as well. You can put as much or as little emotion into the effort of scribbling, but go with it and you may just find it really creates a shift for you. If you are scribbling out a very large issue, imagine breaking it up with an energetic hammer into easy to clear pieces. You may want to scribble a few times to clear it all.
